Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity as our HRIS system for timekeeping, employee records maintenance, LMS, ATS, onboarding, benefits and processing employee transactions. Paylocity is integral in our daily HR lives. It helped us automate some more antiquated processes including using hard copies of forms to process employee transactions such as pay rate and position changes. It also allows the HR team and Managers to access important employee information and documents when working off-site which is important with so many still working hybrid schedules.
- Employee Action Forms process works seamlessly
- Very user friendly, particularly with the mobile app
- Ease of manually adding candidates to job postings in the ATS
- Reporting capabilities on the ATS side could use some improvement
- Not all trainings completed in LMS are tracked and it can be hard to resume
- Better capture of recruiting sources would be helpful
- easier access to employee files
- easier access to data, particularly in the dashboard
- streamlined recruiting process
Paylocity has certainly helped take some of the manual processes and "paper chasing" away from the HR team in particular. The use of Employee Action Forms has been huge. This way managers are able to submit requests on their own to be reviewed by HR/payroll and implemented once approved.
The ATS implementation has also had a huge impact on how we recruit and ease of getting applicants through the hiring process. It also helps us better track all of our applicants for a solid big picture view.

We are using impressions which are always a nice way to outwardly show support for someone jumping in to help. That always leaves a nice impression!
I was not involved in the selection process but have used both ADP and PeopleSoft in previous roles. PeopleSoft does allow for more customization and they both provide more comprehensive data, but both are also not as user friendly for employees as Paylocity.
