Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Our company was on a PEO and the cost was getting higher than cared to pay. This past year we got bids from three new payroll/HRIS vendors and Paylocity was one of them. We loved the look of their platform and usability. The cost was also the most competitive. With Paylocity we were also able to reduce the number of outside vendors we used because Paylocity had so many modules. We went from paying an average PEPM of 75.00 to a PEPM of 22.30. We're saving almost six figures for the year and our usage is more centralized.

Two of the features that really sold us was the Community Plus module as well as the Performance module. We wanted ways to reach our employees and have an intranet where we could communicate since we're spread all over the US. The performance system also allows us to set up our OKR's and have a 360 review process.

There's so many cool features built into the platform it's hard to imagine what we did before it. We are currently using the following platforms: Recruiting, Onboarding, HR/Payroll, Surveys, Performance, Compensation, Reporting, etc.

  • The platform is user friendly and easy to figure out
  • Paylocity makes it easy to get supportive data. Between reports and data insights it's easy to get what you need to provide to executive management
  • Payroll is easy to run, there's no hidden fees, and almost always can you manage to get next day deposit
  • In journals it would be nice if there was a way to imbed contributor comments so it was more of a living document all contributors could add to. Maybe using different colors for different contributors
  • Also in the performance module as well as community it would be nice if you could upload audio file formats. Our loan servicers were hoping to be able to upload this like escalated calls to go back an review
  • Wish there could be more customizable user roles. We have an AP Specialist that has always done expense reimbursements but we aren't able to give him access to expense without them also having access to payroll.
  • Reduced Cost
  • Better Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Reduced time expenditures
We've been able to streamline quite a bit and reduce the administrative redundancy in adding people to multiple systems.
This has been a great way to further our culture initiative. All of our employees are able to provide feedback that we're able to use both for HR purposes but also as a way to connect with our employees.
We came off of TriNet and we were wanting to get away from a PEO. After demos by Paylocity, Paycom, and ADP there were a couple of things that went into our decision. ADP was more expensive that we wanted and we had heard a long history of having to deal with technical problems. Paycom was a tight second but the sales rep was aggressive and pushy and didn't make an effort to show us the desktop utilization because they really push the mobile usage.

Ultimately we liked Paylocity's price, usability, and attentiveness of our sales person.

Using Paylocity

I've been able to navigate everything on my own and I've been able to figure out almost all of it by myself. I like hands on experience so I only rely on service if I've exhausted all resources to figure something out.
