Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for most of our HR and Payroll business needs. Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, Performance Management, HR, Benefits, Time & Labor and Payroll.

Pros

  • Payroll Processing and integration with Time & Labor
  • Recruiting and the integration with onboarding
  • Performance Management and the ability to customize it to fit our needs

Cons

  • Learning could be updated and include relevant compliance trainings.
  • Benefits module can use an upgrade to include retirement plan enrollments.
  • Compliance tracking and reminders throughout the year.
  • File feed setup takes too long and has been very difficult for us. Communication during this process needs to be better. End users should have direct access to the person or team that is working on the connectivity with vendors.
  • The data insights have added stats at the touch of a button. Extremely helpful.
  • Leave request function has replaced a manual process and has reduced the errors and the cost of keeping a separate calendar.
  • The ACA dashboard has saved many hours of manual reviews.
The automation has increased the HR output by allowing us to focus on things that are more important. It has also allowed us to assign certain task to Managers that had historically been done by HR. The security roles are very good and allow for customization so that team leads and managers have the ability to approve timesheets and performance management journals quickly.
Peer recognition has been very well received. We use community to increase awareness of things that are going on throughout the organization.

Paylocity is overall a very good product. The payroll system is a solid solution and support is very helpful and knowledgeable. The system is very end user friendly and customizable to fit our needs. Open enrollment is very easy to complete for our staff but could use some updates to include retirement plan set up. The support staff are not as knowledgeable as their peers in other departments. Time off accruals and leave tracking work pretty well and allows for customization.
