Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use it as our HRIS/payroll tool.
Pros
- Payroll
- Employee data management
- HR action management
Cons
- Ease of creating reports. The customized dynamic reports never seem to capture the data I really want.
- Communication between the Time & Labor module and HR/Payroll. Why isn't there an automatic updating of time off in HR/Payroll module? Why do I need to see and approve time off on the Time and labor module.
- Maybe offer implementation refreshers on a regular cadence if there is turnover of administrators rather than just referencing the help tool.
- Notifications for time off requests that are sent via email should have a link within the email that automatically redirects user(managers) to appropriate page in the Paylocity tool. As it is now, one has to manually log back into the system, navigate to time & Labor (not even HR/Payroll), go to Time off Requests, search for employee and then approve. Very cumbersome.
- I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to create reports that advertising capture the info I need. This may be user error but I'm fairly technically savvy and I can't understand why this process is counterintuitive.
- It is very good to keep track of employee demographics so that is a time saving.
We are not utilizing the onboarding function so I believe that alone would be a positive ROI for us.
