Paylocity Review
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Payroll, time and labor, benefits, performance reviews. Paylocity links our time cards to the payroll side and it is very helpful to have everything in one place. Having the benefits available to our employees on their mobile phones is beneficial.
Pros
- Ease of Payroll
- Time cards are easy for managers to review daily
- Benefits being available to the employees is helpful
- Integrating benefits with our vendors is great.
Cons
- Benefit File Transfers
- More options in Learning
- Reduced errors.
- Reduced cost
It has helped us keep everything in on place, so the time to visit multiple platforms has been reduced. I have been able to have more time for HR tasks versus payroll administration.
We have not used Impressions. But I do conduct new hire surveys each month to our new employees. This is a great feedback tool for me and my managers to see how things are going. It helps us realize anything we missed with training. We use community for announcements and postings. This is a great tool that gets information out to the employees quickly.
ADP was not the easiest platform to use. Their time and labor page was difficult to navigate. Their reports were not easy to find. It felt like any updates they made were not communicated properly and made things confusing. Paylocity is much easier. My managers are able to navigate the time and labor page quickly and easily. And any updates are always communicated.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors
Yes - ADP. Customer service was lacking. They kept us on an old system and only added stuff to it. Never updated it.

I would not change anything.
Paylocity Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled
