Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

timekeeping, payroll, performance, recognition, information sharing. I want to add onboarding, but the cost is a deterrent for my CFO. I like having one system to do everything. Automations would be nice. I need to learn to better use reporting, goal setting and want to train managers how to better leverage the data.

Pros

  • introduce new features
  • solutions to HR pitfalls
  • UI

Cons

  • pricing
  • integrations
  • training
  • + recognition opportunities
  • + visibility
  • -lack full use of system capabilities
Honestly, this is a difficult question to answer because I know Paylocity is powerful if used correctly. we don't use it optimally.
we use recognition most and it keeps that top of mind.
inconsistencies in the way info is stored, causes issues when running reports etc.
  • by Paychex and by Paychex
better but still has room for better training for users outside of HR

Using Paylocity

64 - All staff, we use for timekeeping. 2 HR staff use it most, though.
2 - hr skills
pr skills
tech skills
  • timekeeping
  • payroll
  • benefits administration
  • track staff allergies, favorites, t-shirt size
I don't want to go thru the pain of a switch but I think we need a better solution OR better account management-proactive vs. reactive. Too much turnover in the group that supports our account.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

I would conduct more in depth interviews of users with similar company size, budget and HRIS needs/wants.
