Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Paylocity is our record of source for all HR related events, activities, and documents. Our leaders use it for performance management, recognition, and disciplinary/development tracking. Our employees use it for community, time and attendance, and communication. Our HR team uses it for PM, goal-setting, learning and development, time and attendance, benefits/open enrollment, and communication. This platform is incredible!
Pros
- The implementation team is organized, efficient, and communicative.
- The platform is easy to navigate for all users.
- The continual on-going support, guidance, and trouble-shooting has made it easy to do business.
Cons
- Ensuring communication is shared when working with multiple team members--open enrollment had 1-2 bad hand-offs.
- We have given recommendations on a couple of additions that could enhance the tool.
- We have recently noticed a couple of items did not come through with the integration.
- Immediate access to salary recommendations/market data
- built in reporting on attrition and other metrics
- reduced errors with time and attendance for hourly employees
Since we are in our infancy with our Paylocity integration, we have not seen a time-savings yet. Time tracking, for example, takes so much time for HR to follow up with supervisors to ensure they are approving time cards and making any revisions. it is a track down every Monday and truly delays the process. Scheduling works fine--no issues there. As our proficiency increases and best practices are shared, we will see a direct correlation with efficiency.
This was an extremely underused feature but a drawing factor for me to select Paylocity. It is great to be able to log in and see the community for birthdays and anniversaries. It is also beneficial to make announcements; however, we have minimal utilization of peer recognition. We need to develop a plan to explain and encourage use of this feature. We did us survey for our employee voice but sadly, have not prioritized the tool to create action plans. This is a focus for 2025. I do not know what premium video is.
Paylocity offered great interfaces; ease of implementation; cost effective options; immediate partnership; and 360 integration for tools like 401k. It was a clear choice for HR, and it was strongly supported by our executive team. We receive positive feedback from our hourly employees. Some of the functionality in the app still needs to be updated. For example: time off requests come through as an email. Our managers used to be able to simply click on the email to approve. Now, we have to log into Paylocity to find time off area. It will come in time due to practice but it is cumbersome now.
