Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize Paylocity to capture time records, pay our employees, file all of our necessary governmental filings and for recruitment purposes. Paylocity keeps everything together in one nice comprehensive digital package.
Pros
- Time off tracking, approvals and inserting into payroll automatically
- Never "archiving" documents, so we can go back several years without issue.
- The report writer is extremely helpful in pulling custom data from the system.
Cons
- Expense reimbursements (the ability to track advances)
- Performance (review process)
- Tax filings (we constantly have adjustment/corrections to our accounts)
- We are facing a $3,800 penalty with the State of MA due to, in our opinion, a Paylocity error.
- The Report Writer has saved us hours of time gathering data for our Total Rewards Statements.
- The lack of a good Account Rep has tarnished our feelings about Paylocity greatly.
Unfortunately, we've had to stop using the Performance module due to manager's complaints about its abilities and ease of use. We have had to pass on using its Expense Reimbursement module due to its inability to handle/track employee advances.
None. We currently use an external employee recognition software (Nectar). We have also had to invest in an external LMS.
We like this platform better than Paylocity's offerings.

389 - All of our employees use Paylocity. From punching in, tracking their time, time off, to managers approving time and Admin reporting on payroll expenditures.
