Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity primarily for payroll. It makes processing payroll much easier and I can do it remotely if necessary.

Pros

  • Time card approvals

  • Employee tracking

Cons

  • Entering new employees
  • Dealing with self-employed ministers
  • We are a Church with a Preschool so this does not apply

Paylocity is much better with customer service and listening to my needs. I went with Paylocity because ADP was not doing what they promised to me when I signed on with them. And, they were very bad at communicating with me.

Using Paylocity

40 - Our preschool teachers use the time clock daily. This has made doing payroll much easier!
2 - I am the main user of Paylocity. The director of our preschool also uses it to check the teachers and their hours. She approves the time sheets weekly for the teachers before I process payroll.

I was with another company that I had a nightmare experience with. Paylocity has been wonderful all the way around. Everyone that I have spoken with have been very kind and helpful.

Evaluating Paylocity and Competitors

Yes - ADP
We have a unique setup and ADP could never get us setup correctly. Service was very unsatisfactory.

I needed something that was easy to use and plenty of support!
I am not sure I would change anything...Paylocity was great to work with from the setup to working out the kinks.

The trainers were very helpful and patient with me as I learned a new system. I am not young and learning new things can be a challenge. I never felt rushed or afraid to ask questions of my trainers.

Every person that I have dealt with has been super friendly and easy to work with. I never felt like I was asking a dumb question. They have always been helpful and kind.

No...I use the support that is provided and have never had a problem with it.
We started with Paylocity in April of 2023. It was not until we started reviewing the W2s that we realized that our minsters pay had not been tracked correctly. They are self-employed and are exempt from withholding taxes(social security and medicare as well as withholding) but still receive a W2. When I called into my account manager, she looked into it immediately and had it resolved in a reasonable time.

Using Paylocity

I have found Paylocity very easy to use. My trainers stuck with me until I was comfortable doing payroll on my own. And, they provided me with some step by step instructions that have been very helpful.

Yes - It works great! Our teachers use it daily to clock in and out.

Paylocity Reliability

We have 2 programs using Paylocity under the same EIN number and it has worked great meshing the 2 sets of records.
I have only had a few issues with logging in and the programs availability
I have not had any issues with the performance...reports populate quickly.

Relationship with Paylocity

My salesperson was very kind...she even checked in with me several months after implementation was complete.
She was very sweet and kind.
Paylocity is great!
We did not have any principle terms to my knowledge.
The pricing was worked into what we could afford.
