Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Payroll, Payroll Tax, HR, and Performance. We are consolidating everything into one system We are focused on HR files and conduiting performance reviews and year end reviews all in one secure location. We are using the onboarding system to streamline on onboarding and off boarding process where we hire a lot of seasonal help.

Pros

  • Excellent call in customer service.
  • When they demo a product, they effectively relate it to your business situation.

Cons

  • We had a difficult time post conversion with connecting to Ascensus. Paylocity was sending payroll files, and Ascensus was not receiving them because of the timing of when Paylocity sent the files. We are still processing our 401K manually because we do not trust Paylocity.
  • Our Director of Finance was receiving default notices on his 401 (k) loan due to the file transfer issue. We were deducting the contributions and loan payments, but the file transfer was not connecting to Ascensus.
  • Moving from Paychecks to Paylocity has been a significant improvement, saving time and money. We have been able to save 500 hours by onboarding Contract 1099 labor.
We are moving to the HR Module and performance module in the next month.

Onboarding people is beneficial, but when they use the app, they often struggle to find items. They want to change their tax withholdings. They need to log into the site to make those changes. They can not find it in the app.
Paylocity is so much better. But we did have an issue, and the person who sold us the software never returned our calls.

You process payroll and the system is pretty easy to use. We are going to be adding a few modules so I will see how that rollout goes from Paylocity. I find myself fixing and researching issues that come up. It is a new system for us so I am flexible. Your customer service is good at helping out.
