Overall Satisfaction with Pendo.io

The few important elements to highlight about Pendo.io, the ability to have all the custom development possible in a Guide that allows us to configure the Guide step & the end-to-end workflow in the best way possible with the help of CSS. JavaScript & HTML customization. The Pendo Listen is another great feature that has benefited us in analyzing our customers’ pain points & correcting the step-by-step workflow. The Resource Center is next to talk about because now we have a much easier & streamlined way of showcasing our releases or updates & delivering them to our end users seamlessly. Not to forget the Dashboards & the presentation of data of our customers has become such an easy & interactive process, where we can compare the adoption of a particular guide that was released during a specific time range.

Pros

  • Replay - See what your users are doing at their end on the Product.
  • Forms Validation - Game changer for your users, especially if there are many input fields.

  • Feature - Ability to create a folder for Guides.
  • Reason - This can help clear a lot of clutter & keep a set of supporting Guides in one place.
  • Feature - Ability to mark Custom Guide Categories.
  • Reason - This could help mark the Guides if they are for the main release or the minor release. The options given are very limited.
  • Feature - Provide in-built storage or cloud-based storage for PDFs.
  • Reason - It's an additional effort to host a PDF elsewhere if it's going to be used in a Guide.
  • The adoption of a new feature on an existing UI has increased by 33%
  • Better customer response collection due to customizable Surveys & NPS
  • Time-saving to create new workflows as we have the ability to store Layouts & just edit them for a new use case

I'm used to be the one stop for any Pendo.io questions. In fact, it's me who worked with engineering to integrate Pendo.io to our Product. But, as I have to take care of other products I'm being utilized as the knowledge expert for Pendo.io. I have been training a new employee & have so far delivered enough training that now things have become easier to either create or edit guides, dashboards, segments & etc. I make sure to be updated on the latest news & follow the releases so that I can make the team aware of the new functionality that Pendo.io has for us so that we can make our lives more easier. My exposure to Pendo.io was really amazing because I come with 3 years of hands-on experience in WalkMe & that was the plus point to adopt Pendo.io soon but I admit that it was really a new experience as Pendo.io is much advanced than our prior DAP tool. This allows me to provide solutions when PMs reach the team for new requests related to guides or analytics.
To be honest we are yet to explore this part. We are kind of in the early phase of Pendo.io & we are slowly migrating from WalkMe to Pendo.io. There are items planned in our roadmap but the Pendo.io AI feature is not something that's going to be taken up now. But we did explore how it creates guides & that's just real smooth experience.
The tool is great because it allows you to stay in your browser and do whatever you are trying to do. It could be creating a guide or tagging an element on the page as a feature, and the experience of tagging webpages is also excellent. The options to edit in the editor are well placed and thoughtfully organised, so it doesn't feel overwhelming once you get familiar with the different tabs and sections. Overall, I can say the experience is real-time and just smooth, which we have found to be a big step up from our previous product.
Pendo.io excels at creating guides. The editor experience is precisely what anyone working with a DAP tool desires – unobstructed and focused on a single screen. Pendo.io boasts AI features, and the customization options exceed expectations. When we became more familiar with the product, we questioned why we hadn't considered it sooner. Pendo.io has simplified analytics, making them as straightforward as bread and butter. The number of widgets available for data representation in the dashboard is astounding.

Furthermore, Pendo.io offers a wealth of features, including feature tagging, webpage tagging, Pendo Listen, NPS surveys, a resource center, and more. I used WalkMe for three years and encountered challenges achieving the desired flow for customer onboarding, which sometimes proved difficult. In contrast, Pendo.io makes everything achievable thanks to its ability to incorporate custom code into guide creations.

Pendo.io is useful in generating great dashboards that present user analytics in the best possible view that could be used for analysis & derive key insights on what could be done if there's a feature that's not being recognized by end users or if there are any pain points where users are struggling more around a workflow which is technically not that difficult.

Pendo.io also can be used to create impactful guides where intercatoin of a user with the Guide can be created in less steps & have relevant information about that workflow that the user is completing.

Pendo.io's resource center can act as a one stop hub to present any sidewide updates which could be information of Prod releases, New KB Articles, Register to any event, & much more.

Segments can be created in as many variation as one can. In fact, Segments are the ruling property or feature that works so handy, which reduces a lot of iterative work.
