It is a new product in the market in terms of share of voice but is totally worth it
Pendo.io doesn't try to fit every possible product management feature inside the application, rather it focuses on the user experience and analytics part. And they do that beautifully. Because they are focused on their strength so they are best in that, also their pricing is better than all the other competitors.

Pendo.io for all of your prioritization needs
The organization of Pendo.io makes it much easier to use. We can also get more granular with our request to really dig down into what the root of the issue is and why we are being asked to improve something. We also have been able to better broadcast our wins internally and externally.

Fantastic no-code customer advocacy hub
- Heap and FullStory
It is night and day how simple Pendo.io is to setup and configure. You don't need to be a data scientist or engineer - the UI makes it incredibly easy. The competitors have a high barrier to entry to get started with simple tracking and reporting, which has been a massive problem for team-wide adoption.
We've never evaluated any other platform besides Pendo.io b/c we heard good things about it.

Great for understanding your product usage
ChurnZero is better at being more granular in terms of the specific product usage stats. Whereas in Pendo.io one can customize periods of time to make it much easier to drill into a specific month, quarter, year, or date range. This customization feature was one of the deciding factors for purchase.

Pendo.io, the easy choice
I prefer Pendo because it monitors explicit interactions down to the minutiae if needed. It provided data on an individual account and user basis, as well as a holistic view across the entire customer base or segments. (which you can also define).
In using Amplitude, we found that the data set provided was not as comprehensive as that of Pendo.io's. We also found that the initial setup of the application across our sites and how to get their dashboard up and running was not as intuitive as it was with Pendo.io.

Pendo, it solves our usecase
We had to start fast, and the capability of Pendo.io to track visitors' behavior with just a simple script is a powerful approach to accomplish that. And from there the team can start building more into Pendo.io with the reports and with sending more data for segmentation with the same script.

Highly, highly recommend Pendo.io

I'm not 100% sure why we went with Pendo.io. The organization has been using Pendo.io for over 4 years and it's so ingrained in our company that it would be really hard for us to move to another product. I have loved working with Pendo.io and don't want to move anytime soon.

Pendo.io is great!
- Heap and Google Analytics
- Heap was an excellent option. We also wanted to have the onboarding experience built-in as well, which is why we ultimately went away from them. I did speak to current users, and they loved the functionality of that platform.
- In looking at Google Analytics, the free version didn't have all of the functionality that we needed. And the premium version was too expensive.

Better UI, pricing model, and data available. Most tools are either data tracking or surveying tools. Pendo is something in between.

We used WalkMe for a couple of years, but because we are a single page application we had difficulty with the implementation crashing our site. WalkMe also uses cookies to track users, so every time one of our customers cleared his or her cache, they would receive announcements and surveys over again. These two issues in combination made for some bad data and kept us from being able to use the full functionality of the product. We have had none of these issues with Pendo.io, and the implementation team there has worked with our engineers to ensure that our install won't negatively impact our site.

Pendo.io far and away blows Totango out of the water. While Totango offers in depth usage tracking, it is far behind the experience Pendo provides. Pendo.io is more flexible in what it can track (customizable), offers a far better end user UI/experience, and provides additional features that Totango does not offer (Guides, NPS tracking, etc.). Even Pendo's customer service is better than Totango's. The only place where Totango might have an edge on Pendo.io is in their reporting structure/functionality, which I outlined earlier.
