Overall Satisfaction with Procore
Our operations and operations support divisions are using Procore to manage day-to-day and long term construction management and field operations activities. It bridges the gap left open by Oracle's contract manager withdrawing from the space and allows us to manage project financials, document management, submittals, and RFI's under one program.
Pros
- Cloud based programs allow access from any computer
- A+ customer support over chat
- Constant drive to attempt to innovate.
Cons
- Mobile app functionality is extremely poor.
- Unintuitive organization of submittals, RFIs, etc.
- Does not manage non-industry standard (i.e. ID specifications not written in CSI format) well.
- Loss of productivity learning the product and re-learning the product with constant look-and-feel and functionality updates. Difficult to keep older users on board.
- Failures of the mobile app have made inspections in the field difficult/impossible, pushing back schedule.
- Better than usual customer support has freed up our L&D resources.
- HCSS Heavy Bid and Proprietary Software
We selected Procore due to the fact that contract manager was being pulled from the market and Procore was the 2nd largest alternative. It manages financials well, though the proprietary software we had been using in conjunction with contract manager to manage document control and construction tasks worked MUCH better and was much more well suited to our company's needs.
