Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We use Procore as part of our integrated project delivery process. We are an architecture and construction management firm using Procore from conceptual design through construction and close out. The biggest problem Procore has solved is the collection of information in one place for everyone to use and collaborate. Procore is not just a document center, but an interactive website for most construction needs.

Pros

  • The RFI process is one of the best. The ability for teams to respond not only online but also by replying to the Procore message sent via email shows Procore's understanding of flexibility.
  • The Submittal process has helped identify flaws in our current process and created a tracking system that is easy to use.
  • Always updating! Procore is always looking for ways to do it better. They listen to thier users and find ways to meet thier wish list.

Cons

  • Sometimes the bulk edit for certain modules is limited.
  • Our firm is unique in that many of our projects are in planning stages, and because of Procore's pricing structure, we are limited to the number of projects we can have active.
  • Sometimes, Procore updates too fast. We put together training documents only to see Procore update some of the modules the day before our training session. A little heads up would be nice.
  • I cannot put a dollar value to this, but Procore has increased our turnaround on issues, RFIs, and submittals.
We found Procore easier to use and more cost effective. The fact that subcontractors on our project do not need to purchase Procore is a huge advantage over the competition. Some programs, like Bluebeam, are more than the average person in the field needs, and the gap in tech savvy labor is near impossible to find.
Procore fits the general contractor/self-perform firm very well. It lacks in flexibility when it comes to construction management only. My firm does not self-perform work and not all of our projects can be listed on Procore because of their pricing structure.
