Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

We use QuickBooks Online for estimates/quotes, invoices, payments via credit card or electronic check, sellable inventory, and reports. The recent changes to QuickBooks Online have not been helpful to us. We cannot create the reports we need, causing additional work and using valuable time.

Pros

  • Creates an invoice from an estimate
  • Allows users to create price books

Cons

  • Reports that all users can create to drill down on categories.
  • The accept box is now hidden in a side bar on estimates. New users can forget to open the side bar to change the status of an estimate.
  • The layout of invoices and estimates has moved frequently in recent months. Stop with those constant changes.
  • The new report view is horrible.
  • QuickBooks Online allows us to compare department sales.
  • QuickBooks Online allows us to compare both percent and dollar amount changes from year to year.
  • QuickBooks Online no longer allows us to drill down on multiple categories without paying for a more advanced version.
  • QuickBooks Online is accounting based and doesn’t allow us to compare quantities from year to year.
  • You cannot change the quantity on an invoice that was created from an estimate without changing the number in the “Due” box.
QuickBooks Online has had frequent changes that require users to take different steps, click on different fields, learn how to make reports again, etc. that makes it irritating to use for us.
QuickBooks Online has better options for sending invoices and receiving electronic payments.
