Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online

to maintenance and update books for entity then we use the reporting to update another system. At the end of each month we do a reconcilation of the systems. At year end we prepare reports for tax reporting purposes. The system is great for the cloud access however it does have it's limitations and headaches.

  • the price increase after a certain time frame is frustaring
  • the ROI on credit card imports, sysning has saved time
  • the ease of creating Bank rules has saved 20% time reconciling the bank accounts
basic accounting platform that can do all the accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, balance sheet accounts, and P&L. While the reporting function and customing the reports is easy to use. The issue of updating transactions or changing prior entries is a hassle. If your company is steady doing the same transactions every month/period then this this system is good for you. If you company is growing I would recommend a different platform
I think QuickBooks Online is better than Xero. However I think is is lower then NetSuite and Sage Intacct. The system isself is great because it's cloud based so it can be accessed readily. However, in my opinion, it's not built for companies that are growing or expect to grow. I would recommend Netsuite for inventory based systems and Sage Inacct for ordering companies

basic accounting system. Any feature such as payroll, inventory, PO, credit card reconcilation are add-ons which other systems either include or have better add-on applications. The issue with QuickBooks Online is, in my opinion, it's not built for compnaies that are growing. If the company is a steady size and doing the same regular activity then I think the system is good to use.
