Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo

Used to remotely control and troubleshoot user computers.

Pros

  • UAC for admin sign-in during software installs/un-installs and/or other admin actions
  • Connecting to computers on the internal network
  • File transfers

Cons

  • clipboard for copy paste, this doesn't work for me most of the time
  • Allows us to remotely manage company computers at remote offices in US, Europe, Asia without local IT support personnel.
I wish the copy/paste clipboard was working more often.
Goverlan offered more tools but only works on internal network computers. It doesn't work on computers only on the Internet like Rescue.

Sending a link or code to remote users to start a support session works well. Using it to connect to online computers on the internal network is good.

Trying to reach computers not on the network without sending out a link or code doesn't work at all.

Using LogMeIn Rescue by GoTo

16 - IT and app support.
  • Remote support of PCs on Internet only
  • Connecting to internal network PCs
  • File transfer
  • Support for users in far areas with sparse Internet, such as India
  • Support for any new remote offices without local IT support personnel.
Overall this has been the best remote support tool we've tried, GoverLAN, WebEx, Zoom, Teams, etc. doesn't have same feature set or general functionality.
