Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral Meetings is used as the primary web meeting platform to provide face-to-face interaction while remote. The software has been implemented throughout the company and is integrated with the RingCentral phone system, which serves as the primary voice communication tool in the company. When COVID hit, the company turned to RingCentral Meetings in order to keep all of the business functions up and running. All meetings that previously were held in-person turned to RC Meetings.

Pros and Cons

Very easy to schedule and join meetings.
The software doesn't get in the way of the purpose, which is to collaborate and have open discussions.
Integrates with all other communication platforms in the company.

The RC Meeting splash screen is always up (at least on the Mac version) and can't be hidden, it gets in the way.

Return on Investment

Made a huge impact as it kept our business running during the pandemic.
Saved thousands of dollars by replacing our prior costly Web meeting service.
Reduced time to answers and decisions by quickly allowing key figures to connect and collaborate.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom, GoToMeeting, Cisco Webex Meetings and Microsoft Teams

Because RC Meetings integrates seamlessly with our entire communications system, it is highly superior to its competitors! Not only did the company save on cost and management complexity, but the users were also able to use a single tool to provide all their communications needs. The others are all fine products, but none have the full integration of RC Meetings.

RC Meetings works very well as an alternative to any web conferencing solution, but in particular, it is a key piece to the complete unified communication platform—it simply completes the package of phone, chat, and collaboration tools that are a part of the RingCentral UCaaS solution. RingCentral Meetings literally saved the company when the pandemic hit and kept us in touch with all of our customers, vendors, and colleagues.
