Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

Rippling is used for Employer of Record, Benefits Administration, Leave and timesheet management, organization structure and expense management. This is especially important for smaller organizations with limited international footprint or exposure but an international client base to support. Employees are located around the globe and it's important to have a proper support structure for the organization to keep everyone connected.

Pros

  • Expense Management - No hassles, mobile app, AI incorporated with photos
  • Leave Management - easy to apply and send for approval
  • Onboarding - all can be done online without paper copies.

Cons

  • More employee engagement with EOR Contracts
  • Local country benefits administration
  • Timeliness in response during onboarding process
  • Onboarding of Australian employee took less than 2 weeks
  • Expense reimbursement on approval happens within the pay cycle
  • Leave and Accruals are up to date and accurate
I did contact support when trying to follow up on my onboarding paperwork which took some time however this took several days to iterate and sort out. The benefits administration which is suited for the local country (Australia) was not properly set up and there was a lot of discussions to have this set up correctly. It took almost 2 months before this was in place.

No issues using the platform, either from the website or the mobile app. There is useful instructions on how to use the platform and it's easy to ask questions if uncertain. The features are useful and not overly complex and the ability to view organization charts for contact details, expenses, PTO, payroll is great.
The best use case is when a smaller organization needs to expand rapidly in the international market, with no footprint, no entity, minimal understanding of local labor laws and tax liabilities. As Rippling has presence in a lot of countries and for an extended period of time, their expertise is welcomed and eases the employee onboarding process.
