Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

I use Rippling as the central hub for benefits, payroll, time off, and general workplace employee management such as hosting the org chart. Rippling does a good job of consolidating the otherwise disparate number of HR / admin functionality for the small start up I work with. We do not use Rippling for learning and some of the other eligible functionality around workforce education.

Pros

  • Consolidate several key functions we need from an admin perspective
  • Easy for employees to use
  • Offering a set of outsourced benefit packages

Cons

  • Some of the integrations are simply links out to other providers (i.e. Guideline retirement)
  • Because of the depth of services, it can be hard to wrangle during implementation
  • Occasional hiccups in functionality need support and aren't self-serve
  • Reduced / delayed need for full time admin staffing
  • Consolidated benefits, payroll, and a handful of other services into a single packaged price
  • Employee retention from access to good healthcare benefits
Rippling is like a modern version of ADP which is more user friendly.

Do you think Rippling delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Rippling's feature set?

Yes

Did Rippling live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Rippling go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Rippling again?

Yes

Rippling is extremely intuitive for users; they have a simple UX, relevant tasks, and easy access to the various modules they support. It is clearly build for the average non-admin staff user. The only draw back is that I have had some trouble with the time off functionality not working; but that was quickly resolved.
Rippling was the best option when my company was only a few employees, as we were able to set it up without having any specific admin roles. As we grew, we did need to get a fractional HR team to manage the implementation of Rippling, as it got more complicated (be necessity). I am not sure how Rippling scales for larger organizations.
