Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

I am an individual user. I did my onboarding through the platform in addition to it handling my pay, benefits and expensing for work. I use it to prep and track for my 1:1's with my direct supervisor. My payroll and direct deposit or kept in the platform as well making it easy to find or have all of the information I need come tax time.

Pros

  • Very intuitive layout, so it is easy to use without being trained on it.
  • Tracking expenses. Creating expense reports and adding to them or submitting them is very easy.
  • Benefits tracking, it is easy to track the benefits I selected and how much of them I have used.

Cons

  • A little more visually appealing is something they could do, I do not like the color scheme of the platform so it is less pleasant to be on.
  • More personalization per user, while the platform is intuitive I think some people would like to personalize their portal more.
  • It has streamlined our onboarding processes removing the need to hire additional staff to handle onboarding.
  • Handles the expense reporting in such a manner that it is easy for a single superior to approve many many expense reports. This does not replace a whole position per se but it does allow the responsibility to be handled at a higher level with less middle management hands needed.
Rippling stands up directly against the larger and more well known competitors in ADP and Workday. Rippling has a much more intuitive layout than both ADP and Workday. This may seem like a small complaint but I do not like the color scheme of Rippling compared to that of Workday but that is not enough of a negative to need to pay more and be less intuitive for the team.

Its a perfect rating in usability because it handles everything we need for our HR and onboarding needs. It also makes our remote and travel based employees lives a lot easier by handling the work and approvement flow for expenses and expense reporting. The intuitive nature of the layout makes it easy for anyone to pick it up and get to where they need to be on the platform and get what they need done all in a timely manner without additional training being needed.
As an all in business solution to handle HR and HR related functions I think this easily does the trick. I was onboarded through this platform and without being trained by anyone on the platform I was able to easily navigate the whole platform/site to find what I needed. I use the platform each week to track my expenses and review my pay and benefits. Tracking expenses is SO easy and reporting them is a breeze. It is good to have my benefits and PTO package all together so I can see how much of everything I have used and what my actual benefits are, sometimes it is easy to forget.
