Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

We use Rippling for payroll, HR, device management and time management as the biggest items. Now we are starting to use Rippling for spend management.

We are a lean team at the startup and we just want one solution to do it all of us. It doesn't have to be fancy but it's nice when everything is integrated together, particularly the employee information.

Pros

  • Provides a single source of truth for HRIS data
  • Payroll and time off automation
  • Device management

Cons

  • Needs better Canadian features
  • Canada bill payments and card payments
  • Custom reporting is a bit clunky
  • Reduced my reporting time by 50% (vs other solutions I've used)
In my opinion, Workday is clunky. Rippling is way more intuitive and hides the modules you don't use. Workday just seems outdated.

I haven't had direct exposure being admin on Workday but even from an employee stand point, Rippling seems a lot better and intuitive than workday - a lot less email reminders, clunk, etc. Highly recommend from both an employee and administrator standpoint.
Really good. They have been able to get back to me within couple of hours.

Enjoy the self booking feature with my account manager which is really nice. Though I wish they would say who my account manager is on the actual app itself (vs. with email chain) because sometimes it gets lost in the inbox and when account managers changer here and there.

Really great to use - much better than most legacy systems. Everything is quite intuitive and easy to find. Settings are easy to configure.

If I were to improve some things - I think user interface could use a bit of visual refresh and the search function could be a bit better -> usually just takes me to help articles instead of the actual thing I'm looking for.
Rippling super good if you are startup or mid-size business that's wants everything automated.

If you are a larger org and need specific custom modules or specific Canadian / international compliance things - maybe the bigger established players might be worth it.

Also, if you are cost sensitive - Rippling is probably more on the expensive side compared to some other smaller players.
