Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik
Rubrik CDM alongside Polaris is protecting on-premise and Azure cloud resources. We also utilize Rubrik SONAR for sensitive file identification. And, we use Rubrik RADAR for anomalous file activity. Rubrik provides an immutable file system that protects the backups from possible encryption or corruption from malware/ransomware. Rubrik provides comprehensive and easy-to-use retention/replication features - they call them SLA domains. Rubrik provides an invaluable daily email report showing the last 24 hours - and 7 days of activity of Rubrik.
Pros
- Daily easy to read reports of the previous 24 hours.
- Daily report includes up to 7 days of activity in an easy Red/Green legend.
- Rubrik's central console can manage most functions with a single pane.
- Rubrik's integration and ability to leverage Azure storage for Long Term Retention are impressive!
- Restores are amazingly robust and fast with Rubrik.
Cons
- The "Compass" feature needs to be implemented in the Polaris side of Rubrik's solutions.
- Faster Recovery Times.
- Easier to use than other products.
- Capable of complex features but simple to use every day.
Rubrik has provided much more simplified licensing. Rubrik has provided a much more succinct, relevant, and useful console. Rubrik's console allows easy searching within backups for files/objects. Rubrik was much easier overall to deploy and get working to its fullest capabilities and feature sets.
