Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct as our ERP primarily in the accounting department. It is used by other departments strictly for purchasing approvals. It has addressed a myriad of problems we were facing prior to transitioning, including inter-company transactions and timely financial reporting.
Pros
- It provides the ability to drill down to transactions from virtually any report.
- Better ease of payment processing.
- Behind the scenes inter-company transactions.
Cons
- Approval policies could be more versatile. We have many different employees who approve invoices, and mapping that out has proven challenging.
- It's a huge time saver on month-end close, giving us untold savings on man-hours in the accounting department and giving management early information for decision making.
We've benefited significantly from this automation. Our month-end has been cut in half.
We used to spend days tying out inter-entity transactions, and now it's all automated. It's an amazing time saver that would have made Intacct worth it all by itself.
Sage blows these out of the water. I was happy with Dynamics GP above the other accounting software I've used previously to Sage Intacct, but I also didn't know what it was missing. The ease of use and intuitive functions are so complete and fully baked in that it's incomparable to anything I've used previously.
