Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Sage Intacct to store all of our accounting data including the general ledger, journal entries, and the chart of accounts. The scope is the entire business as all accounting data is stored here. I routinely use Intacct to look up accounting data, make journal entries, and reconcile accounts with our internal work papers.
- Storing data securely
- clean user interface
- The options for the time period should be able to be moved around-- there are so many options before the simple and commonly used "YTD" that I never use!
- I would say that Sage Intacct has done a good job at securely storing our accounting records
Our organization has benefitted from this automation. Our accounting team has worked to automate certain routine journal entries on a monthly basis including depreciation. The problem with this feature is that the journal entries remain stagnant for all 12 months. This creates a problem when certain things change. For example, continuing with the depreciation example, we had a disposition that makes it to where we have to adjust the entry each month for the rest of the year rather than being able to adjust it once for the rest of the year.
I actually have not used any of the more advanced modules like the multi-entity & global consolidations, the project accounting, the time and expense management, the contract revenue management, and the spend management.
Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?
Yes
Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Sage Intacct again?
Yes
In my previous role, I was an auditor for a company that used PeopleSoft for its accounting system. Unfortunately, my experience using PeopleSoft was pretty limited because of my role as the company's auditor rather than an actual employee. I used PeopleSoft to pull journal entries and the experience was different but the ease of use was similar to Sage Intacct.
