Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
We use Intacct for most of our accounting needs. I am a first-time user, and although the software seems capable of housing all accounting, we currently utilize the software for about 70% of them. As a loan company, we have a high volume of intercompany transactions that our previous software was unable to accommodate to us without having the entire booking process be manual. I do like that you can schedule reversals and post intercompany transactions to both entities very seamlessly.
Pros
- intercompany transactions
- journal entry reversals
Cons
- accounts payable
- financial reporting
- intercompany journal entries are automated
- long or complex journal entries can be uploaded from Excel
- journal entry upload errors are unclear and time-consuming if the template isn't correctly filled out
I'm not aware that we have used this automation feature for our needs. We have chosen to automate reversed journal entries (which is VERY helpful!) but automation in other modules I'm not aware of.
Consolidated financials are very clear and easy to run. You can run by the entity, dept, class, or any other metric you'd like to track. Not all accounting softwares offer this feature, and it's very helpful and time-saving! This feature helps the most with FP&A and budgeting.
Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?
Not sure
Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?
No
Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Sage Intacct again?
Yes
I have reached some limitations within QuickBooks desktop and online, however, to fully assess Intacct against QuickBooks, I would need more exposure to Intacct. I have also used Oracle, which seems very similar to Intacct.
