Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Our business invests as a minority partner in almost fifty individual dental practices. We maintain the accounting records for all of them in QuickBooks Online, until right now. We have migrated our information into the multi-entity instance of Sage Intacct. This will allow us to scale at a better speed, and it will facilitate easier reporting and consolidation between all or our practices. We are very excited at the capabilities of Sage for our accounting and reporting structure.

Pros

  • Consolidated reporting
  • Connectivity to third party apps
  • Bank Feeds and Matching Rules

Cons

  • AP automation tools, like invoice reading and suggested categorization
  • Improved sandbox environment
  • Easier subscription updates
  • We are early enough in the process that we haven't quantified that yet.
  • Estimated time savings for our small accounting team will be in the hundreds of hours, translating into thousands and thousands of dollars spent on labor that can finally be more efficient.
We have benefited tremendously from these core financial processes. The bank feeds, in particular, combined with matching rules and rulesets, have been a game changer for us when trying to reconcile fifty bank accounts. We are thrilled at this piece of automation, and we can't wait to explore additional features.
We are using the multi-entity feature with our instance of Sage Intacct. It is amazing for visibility (both granular and strategic) for our individual entities and for our portfolio as a whole. Reporting dashboards allow us to quickly glance at important metrics and KPI's. We are extremely excited to continue exploring this feature to see what else we can leverage to benefit our business moving forward.
Sage Intacct is robust enough to do everything we need it to do. But it is also robust enough for implementation to be a little challenging. We found a consultant to help with the implementation. With their help, it hasn't been to bad considering the size of the scope of our project.
The big advantage of Sage Intacct is that it maintains the "usability" of QuickBooks Online, but the multi-entity functionality of Sage is incredible. It does everything that we used to like about Quickbooks, but the additional features and capabilities better serve our needs to grow and become more efficient. We are so excited to move forward with this product.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

I believe that any scenario requiring accounting for multiple entities is very well suited for Sage Intacct. The ability to pull reports for an individual entity, a group of entities, or the portfolio as a whole, all in one interface, is incredibly valuable. It allows us to be as high-level or as granular as we want to be without wasting time logging in and out of individual entities.
