Overall Satisfaction with SAP Commerce Cloud
We are a B2B e-commerce operating purely as a marketplace for the hospitality industry. SAP Commerce Cloud is connected to the Mirakl Marketplace Platform to manage content from 3rd-party sellers and orchestrate orders with them. As a B2B, we also have e-commerce integrated via punch-out with our big hotelier groups to improve the buyer experience, providing a more B2C-like experience.
Pros

- Break the product into smaller parts to become nearly a SaaS, reducing associated costs for continuous upgrades
- Explore more e-commerce business models such as marketplace native in SAP Commerce Cloud
- Ready-to-run add-ons to avoid small features become a project
- Positive impact on the implementation of the ISS recommendation engine as an add-on to Commerce.
- Negative impact on the implementation of a marketplace platform not natively covered by the SAP CX suite requires a significant increase in the total cost of the stack with 3rd-party solutions.
