Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The marketing department in my organization uses SAP Crystal Server to run scheduled reports and we are currently working on expending its use to other departments, also to run scheduled reports. The business problems it addresses is our need for recurring reports, especially ones that have real-time data.

Less user-friendly than other reporting software - that's why we use it for scheduled reports instead of switching over to only use SAP Crystal Server

Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft BI, Oracle BI Foundation Suite and IBM BigInsights

SAP Crystal Server was chosen because of the scheduled reports capabilities that it had and because we were happier with the end look of the reports. We found the reports that are obtained with SAP Crystal Server easier to interpret than some what some of the other BI programs produced.

We use SAP Crystal Server in the marketing department to track if the campaigns we are running are meeting our expectations or if we need to make any changes to the approach we have chosen.
