Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic
SL is used as a network monitoring tool at Sun Life for the Engineering and Operations department. It is the main asset and configuration management tool and is currently being integrated with the ServiceNow platform.

Yes - SolarWinds: too expensive and required constant tweaking. We also are replacing Cisco Prime with SL, since the capabilities are contained within SL in a consolidated platform. We wanted to move to a consolidated toolset with much fewer product lines and fewer silos, so SL was a perfect fit for our organization.
Our level of visibility across our infrastructure has increased dramatically. SL provides excellent metrics and data that helps keep on top of network events, and application and business services monitoring are being built to support the changing needs of our organization. With the move to a hybrid environment of private & public cloud application installs, SL has become key for us.
SL is helping us automate many workflows and processes, and is being integrated with our ServiceNow platform and orchestration products.
- Asset management tracking by original purchaser orders.
- Trending of bandwidth on WAN links to trigger increases if needed.
- Device license tracking.
- SolarWinds Log & Event Manager
SL is hands down better that SolarWinds in all aspects.
