Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1

We are using SL1 for health and availability device monitoring. I must say it's a powerful tool and quite intelligent. We have multiple deployments of SL1 in NTT for monitoring 1000s of internal and client managed devices.
  • User-friendly dashboard.
  • Better support for troubleshooting.
  • Can scale up to thousands of appliances.
  • Toolbox are the key component.
  • No customized monitoring dashboard.
  • No Timezone setting preference by default it's in GMT.
  • For memory-related events, SL1 takes cache memory as actual memory which leads to a false positive.
  • No financial implications of using SL1.
  • It is great tool to support our GMSSP platform.
Yes - We replaced Solarwinds as SL1 is the best health and availability tool in the market. SL1 is a robust and intelligent tool that can support our services in the most convenient way.
We have extended our services, as each deployment of SL1 supports many thousands of appliances.
ScienceLogic SL1 is integrated with other systems in many different ways and includes auto-provisioning requests into SL1 from upstream commissioning services, reporting extracts for customer portals, event notifications into systems such as Restorepoint and ServiceNow integration of CMDB items and events.
  • Monitoring of linux host, firewalls, dockers, etc.
  • Effective event handling using API automations.
  • Reducing notification by correlating events.
We have found ScienceLogic SL1 well suited to both MSP and Enterprise monitoring at scale and where a high degree of integration with other systems or customization of monitoring approaches is required. It might, however, be overkill for smaller enterprises where the requirements are more straightforward.
SL1 is the best option for network operation centers and security operation centers.
