Overall Satisfaction with Semrush

We use Semrush to identify what keywords to rank on, what keywords are our competitors ranking on, what to do to improve our SEO and SEM practices, track website traffic coming across sources (including from backlinks) and how to further improve them. The business problem it serves is it enables us to work our pages and content to be SEO-optimized.

  • Semrush Tracked Organic Keywords Weekly Overview - automated report is fantastic
  • Good brand value, recognition and thus many keywords we can bid on
  • It has acquired and is acquiring lot of media houses and thus provides SEO training and content also which is used as best practice

  • Better integration with existing sales and marketing tech stack
  • More AI embedded to tell us what is not working and what will work
  • Better inbound strategy - Higher page rankings
  • More visibility on website traffic

Semrush is easy to install, operate and use across all job levels. The training content available for Semrush ensures any new joinee can self-onboard in matter of minutes and start using in matter of hours. There are tooltips to guide and CSM to help whenever we run into some challenges.
Semrush has better brand recognition and value compared to its competitors. It has a futuristic vision and has been growing consistently organically and inorganically. It has helped achieve ROI and better inbound strategy YoY and thus we chose to go with Semrush. Also, our leadership has affinity with this tool based on past experiences.

Semrush is well suited for a mid-market organization or even a SMB with a good marketing budget and does not want to rely only on outbound but also on inbound to scale their website and content. It may be less suited for organizations that are startups, have limited budget or dont need to optimize their website yet for better reach.
