Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Internal comms and specific channels for collaboration informal comms.
Tracking and sharing of issues that need to have alerts

Remote working and cross team interactions. Tracking and storing historical info for revisiting.

Pros

  • organisation of conversations
  • Managing comms to be recalled/filter options
  • Intuitive display

Cons

  • What else can it do? This relies on use cases from colleagues
  • List management - storing and management of info so it can be revisited
  • Just a reliable confidential comms tool
With any IT product you dont know what you dont know.
I am unaware of its capabilities and how to apply these to my work tasks. ie what other programmes do I use that Slack could replace. it is difficult to know what questions to ask the HELP to find this out?
We are currently looking into the functionality of Slack and if it is possible to replace the above.
