Overall Satisfaction with Slack

Slack allows my colleagues and I to discuss internally regarding a multitude of matters that our org faces day to day, but making sure it is neatly organized into channels.

Pros

  • Provides organized storage of communications
  • Allows our org to stay close to one another by offering channels where we can disconnect from work and talk about hobbies and life outside of work. This is extremely important as our role is a remote position.
  • Is able to integrate with many of our data pulls that can notify us when we need to take action on a customers account.

Cons

  • They could make the UI more user friendly by allowing you to organize channels even further
  • They could make the UI more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
  • Slack has only had positive impacts on my work objectives
  • It allows me to better stay on top of all my tasks and notifies me of any signups I may have since it can integrate with other softwares I use.
Slack is very easy to use and user friendly. They also have an app which is in my opinion, even better than the web version.

I really don't have any complaints about Slack. It has allowed my team and I to really stay well connected and be able to discuss high level matters more seamlessly than an email would. I do think they could make the UI more aesthetically pleasing and improve their huddle capabilities, so when you share your screen, it easier to navigate.
