Slack allows us to internally communicate and talk quickly about day-to-day issues, both privately and in small groups. We also use it with automations to send notifications about important business events, as well as sending company-wide messages when appropriate.

Functionality of opening and closing groups can be clunky.
Searching for terms and phrases in the top search bar can be challenging.

Usability

It's intuitive to use, and doesn't need much training at all. Anyone can get the basics within 5 minutes of first picking up the tool.
