Slack A solid and reliable platform for multipurpose collaboration.
Overall Satisfaction with Slack
We mainly use the slack as a collaboration and internal communication platform for our various teams to collaborate seamlessly with each other. And we have also extended it to communicate it with the external clients and other vendors which has reduced the usage of long email communications. We have also integrated it with various tools like Zoom and Jira to make communication easier and seamless.
Pros
- I think the integration aspect is one of the best thing about the Slack. It is seamless and very easy to handle with other third party tools.
- The real time collaboration is is really great in this as it comes with various features like huddles and clips which is really solid.
- The automation workflow builder is really great and reduces the repetitive tasks which takes up the time and resources.
Cons
- The limited search options in larger workspaces is a bit annoying to work with.
- Also the pricing is bit expensive and small scale enterprises may not be able to implement.
- The offline functionality is very limited and could be improved in my opinion.
- We have had a almost 30-40% reduction when dealing with large email volumes.
- The project execution has become faster and seamless at about 10-15% improvement.
- We have also been saving almost 3-4 man hours per week by using the slack integrated framework.
Teams is also a really good collaboration tool like the Slack. But when compared to the slack it is lot heavier to use and file sharing is also a lot slower compared to the slack. Also the overall UI in slack feels smoother and cleaner compared to the Microsoft Teams.
