Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters

SmartRecruiters is being used for job posting and applicant tracking across our entire organization by replacing an in-house system that had grown obsolete. In the first 4 months we saw a 300% increase our year over year applicant numbers. Our hiring managers are impressed with the number and quality of the applicants and the speed at which they are able to fill new positions.
  • Generate an applicant pool quickly.
  • Track applicants through the hiring process.
  • Posting positions to multiple job boards.
  • Unable to skin the SaaS interface. Green may clash with your company branding.
  • Lack of support for Job Posting Schema https://schema.org/JobPosting, used by some government job boards.
The only drawback in the candidate experience appears to be the lack of branding and site consistency. The ability to apply using social networks is a game changer when it comes to evaluating leads quickly.
SmartRecruiters is very well received by our hiring managers. They are particularly fond of the mobile friendly UI, and the overall effectiveness of the platform in streamlining the hiring process.

We were impressed with the modern look and feel that SmartRecruiters provided. The mobile friendly design and the SmartWidget made the job listing look a lot nicer than what we had seen of Taleo.
SmartRecruiters is excellent at generating a lot of qualified applicants quickly. The SmartWidget is a quick and easy way to integrate job listings into your web presence.

The inability to skin, brand or create a sub-domain for the SaaS experience can lead to a jarring user experience, particularly for users trying to check out multiple jobs.

Integrating SmartRecruiters

From my perspective, working with the APIs, I found some security levels were lacking if an API key were to be compromised. I would suggest a level of API access that is read only in addition to the current admin level.
No, we use SmartRecruiters as a standalone recruiting solution. - We have not integrated with an HR Suite but we have integrated with our Identity Management solution. This integration went well and has been an excellent way for us to manage our user provisioning and removal.
SmartRecruiters was chosen to replace an antiquated in-house built system that had aged out of compliance. As a global company we need to be able to protect all applicant's information according to the laws of their country of residence. SmartRecruiters allows us to outsource the data governance required and provide a much better user experience than we previously furnished.
We use Job Boards and background checks in our recruiting pipeline. We also developed a few API integrations of our own for in-house use. And utilized the open API to build our job posting interface on the website.
