Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
Splashtop became my go-to for quick and easy remote sessions with client and their computer or Android devices. The connection is great even from my android phone! Splashtop allowed me to continue working for my clients despite being out of the office for extended periods. I have not had a chance to try the more enhanced features such as Endpoint Management or the anti-virus by Bitdefender, but plan to offer this to some of my smaller businesses and single device clients.
Pros
- The layout of the interface is pleasing. The icons are clear and easily identifiable. The functionality of the options works well.
- The connection speed is great.
- The options to connect from any Android device is AWESOME!
Cons
- The downside was the limited access to assist iPhone users. It is too complicated for some of my clients to perform the necessary actions on their own.
- The SOS link is a little clunky...but I was never really a fan of single session connections.
- The range between 10 to 300 unattended computers is too large for me to make the leap. This leaves me short on some accounts.
The platform is secure and I appreciate the device verification. I did have some issues with logging in, but only when travelling in areas with very weak cellular service.
This only took a few sessions to be able to perform and function at the needed level to help my clients.
Yes - AVG Cloud Care was too involved to perform some the simple tasks that needed to be done. Splashtop was much faster.
