Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
We use Splashtop in our day to day operations to allow our remote preparers to have access to all of their systems on their computers in our corporate headquarters. We are space constrained in our facility, so the only way to expand our ability to service more clients and generate more revenue, we had to start running remote operations. Splashtop gave us an easy to use option to address the need quickly and securely.
Our remote IT support uses it to monitor and maintain all of our computers within our organization, as effectively and efficiently as if they were onsite.
With Splashtop, we've been able to streamline our operations, grow in personnel without having to move facilities, and provide the support needed in an effective manner.

Pros
- Quickly and easily allow remote access, with all the security and encryption we all have to adhere to
- Be able to quickly train our people in how to use Splashtop, so that we can expand our staff
- Allow our IT to effectively and efficiently monitor and troubleshoot our computers remotely, any time and anywhere
Cons
- We've has a little issue in setting up a user to multiple computers scenario. Even though the Admin portal shows that the user has two computers assigned to them, from the User's perspective they only see one computer
- We can increase revenue by the addition of employees without having to increase our facility space. We are space constrained so any increase in space means a move
- By allowing remote support of our IT functions, it reduces the need for a staff IT person, which saves us a lot of money
With their level of encryption, security protocols, and administrative portal, they meet our requirements for use within a tax practice.
Installation and implementation of Splashtop is extremely easy and very quick. Teaching an employee how to use the features takes about an hour, as we use a number of the features including virtual monitors (headless operations) and remote printing capabilities.
