Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

We are an MSP and rely heavily on Splashtop for our day-to-day operations. From healthcare to non-profit, Splashtop is there to help [...] be the successor for all types of RMM needs. Our Splashtop Enterprise RMM is available only to clients who choose our TIER 2 or higher package. Since we are a small business, we really cannot afford additional members to help manage Splashtop, but solely for 1 user. For the rest of the clients who need remote support, like most non-profits, we offer the RUST-DESK open-source remote tool; however, the idea is to one day deploy Splashtop for all of our users, no matter their business status or tier, because Splashtop makes a huge difference in our environments overall. Splashtop is very reliable, which is why we make it our backbone for RMM versions compared to other RMMs on the market. The simplicity of using remote cmd, PowerShell scripting, file drag-and-drop, and Windows Updates does a lot in this demanding environment.

Pros

  • Windows Updates
  • Powershell Scripting
  • Remote Access
  • Software Patches
  • Online/Offline status
  • Managability
  • Security
  • EndPoint Detection

Cons

  • The ability to create Update Groups
  • Slightly better Web experience with more available modifications for the users' experience. I feel like the Splashtop WEB GUI is too rigid, and that the user/admin should be able to select what they want to see rather than being forced to see it in their own web UI. I guess being able to have a customizable web ui experience.
  • More guides on how to use all of the Splashtop RMM tools, like giving examples for those who are new to Splashtop. For example, if I've never used Splashtop before and I click on Remote CMD, maybe give an example of what to add or include pre-installed PowerShell and CMD examples?
  • Make vulnerabilities a lot clearer, not everyone understands what vulnerabilities mean, or how to apply them. For example, I see the user web gui, CVE-2025-24201
  • Severe
  • Yes
  • Critical (10.0)
  • 2025-03-11
  • 1
  • macOS
  • 1
  • Maybe give the user additional options on how to approach this by having the ability to patch up the vulnerability, edcuate the user on what the next steps should be to mitigate the issue(s)
  • Stability and reliability
  • Always ready, and never crashing
  • One click and go.
So I've had a few questions with Splashtop in the past that were resolved within minutes, so I'd say the support is pretty good.
Pretty standard, which is what I expect.
Short answer: yes, smooth all the way
Yes - Yes, we relied on TeamViewer at one point, but as a small business, we couldn't afford it anymore. We learned about Splashtop in 2016, but invested in Splashtop in 2018 and never looked back. We still use other open source Remote Access agents, but it's generally for one-offs or smaller businesses. We really try to avoid playing favorites or being impartial; we believe everyone who trusts our services should always receive the white-glove treatment. Sometimes value outweights profit

Do you think Splashtop delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Splashtop's feature set?

Yes

Did Splashtop live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Splashtop go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Splashtop again?

Yes

In my environment, Splashtop flourishes with healthcare/for-profit clients/partners who rely on [...] for our Always Works, Always Working ideology. For SOHO (small office/home office) businesses, we think Splashtop is less suited, as we can script many automations without Splashtop and keep costs low for SOHO users.
