Splashtop: unusual name for a great product.
Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
We are using Splashtop to support our clients. With so many people working remotely, we need a reliable and robust solution for remote access. The ability to have unattended or on-demand access is very important. Our primary focus is with Apple centric clients, so the cross platform capabilities are crucial.
Pros
- No software install for on demand support
- Easy to setup and maintain.
- Timely updates and feature releases.
- Works great with Apple products.
Cons
- Because of Apple security it can be hard to setup the first time on demand.
- iPad and iPhone support are a big plus, but can be hard to work with.
- Since Covid Splashtop has enabled us to keep operating when we can't be onsite with clients.
- Splashtop has cut down on our travel especially for solving minor problems.
- Clients love have their problems resolved more quickly.
Splashtop takes security very seriously. We use two factor authentication on all our accounts. They offer multiple options for how to protect and access client computers. The design of the their on-demand support puts clients at ease that the connection is secure and in their control. We have never experienced any security issues with the product.
We were able to get on board very quickly. They offer a free demo period that can seamlessly be converted to a paid subscription. This allowed us to throughly test the product without any financial commitment. They provided good support even during the demo period. They have been good about upgrading the product and keeping us informed of new features.
Yes - Our previous product had been discontinued and not working very well for a number of months. Apple offers a remote access solution, but it involves a number of setup steps including router configuration. We looked at several products but found their Apple support to be lacking. Splashtop addressed all of our needs in one easy to use package.
