Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Splashtop [Remote Support] on prem across the company, solving the problem of remote working (WFH) for corporate and office staff. It is also used by production and IT for in house remote access to production machines

Easy to deploy
Secure, lots of layers of protection
Encrypted connection
Low bandwidth

Frame rate is low (30fps)
Audio issues, some distortion and pops sometimes
Audio/video sync is not always the best
Host and client apps do not auto update

TeamViewer

TeamViewer is a very similar product in term of quality of connection, framerates, etc, but Splashtop [Remote Support] offers far better pricing, easier user management, remote control and command also it is hosted on prem

[Splashtop Remote Support] is great for corporate type of work / or light use, where you would be working on docs, spreadsheets, etc and you do not need high frame rates, quality and audio/video sync.

It is [not] so good for multimedia production cases where you require high color accuracy, smooth playback, constant framerates and perfect lipsync.

Splashtop is a great product for WFH and remote management
