Overall Satisfaction with Sprout Social

We use Sprout to post to all of our channels, maintaining a detailed calendar to deliver our output. We also monitor the performance of content both on a local and national level. We run comparisons on competitors, combined with social listening, as well as reporting on all of our channels as a whole. We would not be able to do this natively, so this is a huge time saver and enables to be more efficient and have one place to address all needs for social strategy.

Cons

  • The UX of having hundreds of channels to navigate can be quite fiddly, especially when trying to bulk post.
  • The ability to find and analyse content from competitors.
  • It has definitely streamlined our output and allowed us to access metrics, content performance, and engagement all within a few clicks.
It enables us to compare performance YOY, both locally and nationally, allowing us to see what does and doesnt work. The Social landscape is constantly changing and adapting, and having a tool like Sprout gives us that edge in staying ahead and making decisions based on performance.
The tools themselves are fully comprehensive, and you have the scope to adapt them to your own individual ways of working. However, being part of a team that focuses on different aspects means there can sometimes be redundant features that could get in the way of the most optimal workflow for that user, and therefore, the UX can be a little more complex than necessary.
We are constantly exploring our options and looking for the most cutting-edge products that suit our needs as a business. Sprout ticked the boxes for what we needed when it was time for a change. Both are powerful tools, and you can only see by doing.

I use Sprout every day to monitor content and incorporate this into our weekly reports. Sprout is so powerful that we can load a week's worth of content almost instantly. Where it is less appropriate would be for local channels to focus on an individual level. We use this mainly for our national channels.
