Overall Satisfaction with Tealium Customer Data Hub

We use Tealium to stream Realtime events from our website into our journey orchestration tool (Braze). The tool helps us configure audiences and events to send triggered messages to our clients and prospects.

Pros

  • Advanced data collection at attribute level. Good logic options.
  • Eventstream is Realtime and easy to use.
  • Trace ID functionality for testing.

Cons

  • Audiences—don't they technically exist in Tealium? They are just streamed—no count, no backfill, etc.
  • Working backward to identify issues involves lots of clicking in the UI, going from audience to audience attribute, badge to event attribute, and so on.
  • You have to wait for a Real-Time event to see the payload. There is no sample or other option.
  • HTTP Realtime data source.
  • Eventstream
  • This is a current challenge. There's overlap with quite a few of our tools. LiveRamp, Braze, Snowflake.
TAM is responsive and available for last-minute calls, which is great. However, we could use some overall guidance on use cases and how to measure value.
I've used Lytics as well, but that is not an option. AEP has better ID resolution insights and segmentation capabilities. My new company uses Tealium, so I was not involved in the decision, but I am tasked with proving value. Tealium is more affordable than Adobe and doesn't lock you into a suite of tools.

Do you think Tealium Customer Data Hub delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Tealium Customer Data Hub's feature set?

No

Did Tealium Customer Data Hub live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Tealium Customer Data Hub go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Tealium Customer Data Hub again?

Yes

If you use TIQ, if you don't use TIQ, it can be tricky. If you work with paid ACQ teams who want estimates on audience sizing, it's tough to provide those numbers.
