Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

We actually use TeamViewer to access client computers. There are several clients who only use TeamViewer so we accommodate them by having TeamViewer available, it is for remote support of our applications. We connect to them and install or repair installations or upgrades using the remote control function.

  • Ability to manage who controls via a unique code
  • For some users the interface is not intuitive and they have difficulty following instructions for connecting
  • Blurred lines between free and paid versions
  • Clients that use this exclusively are glad we support it also, client retention value.
  • The business I work in doesn't fully appreciate remote support software so there is confusion about who uses what (not TeamViewer's issue).
  • Not having a policy keeps us jumping around versus standardizing on a software, there is no clear winner out there.
LogMeIn no longer has a free version and that has made some clients who have limited need for remote control software look to other solutions and TeamViewer is one of those. Having a free version for limited users who only may need remote support once or even once or twice a year shows an understanding of client usage and helping people who have such limited need that they aren't going to buy the software anyway, they will find another method to get the work done.
Remote support of clients since you can setup both ends of the connections and reconnecting is easy. For users who aren't regular clients there are easier to remote control applications out there in my opinion.
