Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
Being an engineering consulting company means we have a lot of clients that we need to support remotely because most of our clients are not within driving distance but also need 24/7 support. We use TeamViewer to quickly log into client computers to do troubleshooting or test software with hardware that is only available at the customer site. It cuts down on travel costs and greatly improves our response time.
- Ability to keep a list of multiple computers across a lot of sites. The organization and grouping is nice.
- I can use it on my PC, Mac, or iPhone and it works great on any platform.
- It supports multiple screens very well.
- It’s version specific so if a client has a newer version installed then I have to pay to upgrade.
- They swapped to a subscription model instead of a one-time purchase.
- If the network connection is poor I have to try multiple times in order to connect to the computer.
- It’s not extremely reliable when it comes to being able to connect to remote computers every time.
- Reduces our travel cost significantly, especially for quick trips.
- Enables our company to support clients regardless of location which means we win business against local competitors.
- We can provide 24/7 support as a service when bidding projects to clients. Using TeamViewer reduces the burden on our engineers, too.
One of our main clients has restrictions on the browser choice and what plugins can be added so that removed Chrome as an option. TeamViewer is standalone and while it is paid, the client doesn’t need to pay for their side so you can install it on multiple client machines. It’s also really easy to use across platforms and I can have multiple connections open at the same time.

TeamViewer Security and Support
We did not purchase premium support outside of the standard support that comes along with a business license. I haven't had to use their technical support but have had to use their billing support, which was kind of rough coming from a really large company. TeamViewer expects you to pay via PayPal but we don't do that as a really large corporation so each year the license renewal is a big pain.

Yes - It’s great. Obviously not an ideal platform but it’s intuitive to use and provides a great option for me to do immediate support when I’m out away from my office. It’s very smooth and has a lot of options for how you can use it. The best mobile Remote Desktop app I have used.
