Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

TeamViewer was and is used as a backup form of remote access for our remote users. the reason we have TeamViewer is that we have a lot of users who are not on our Primary network. this allows us to support them wherever they are. It is easy enough for my Engineers to use

Pros

  • Remote access
  • File Transfers
  • Ease of install when system is on site

Cons

  • Better remote access options
  • Speed
  • End-users need knowledge not easy for them
  • it worked for a while until we outgrew it
  • Only good for small scale
We use Dameware and Log me in rescue to fill in the gaps left by TeamViewer. you're better off getting Recuse for support

I was not part of the initial setup therefore I can only speak about my use. I found it somewhat cumbersome to use. It works decent enough for support users. however, the end-users need to give us a long code. Some users have a hard time finding this code
Rescue, GoToMyPC, Comodo Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP)
The software works well enough for a Small shop. Once you grow it becomes too cumbersome to manage. While the software does what it should it does not excel at anything. I think this software is good for a small subset of users less than 50 end users. Keep that in mind
