Great Product, Untrustworthy Company. Technically, TeamViewer Remote Control is an excellent product with a superb feature set. In my experience, their customer service is average, but their technical support is pretty good. However, as a company they are not to be trusted. I spent thousands of dollars on a "perpetual" license of TeamViewer 10 and was led to believe that it would work in perpetuity. Then TeamViewer changed their pricing structure to a subscription based system and said they would be discontinuing "Server" services for my version of TeamViewer. Without "Server" services the product only works on the local LAN which is pointless. I will no longer be able to connect to my customers remotely via the internet. At the time of this announcement, there was a large outcry from TeamViewer customers. TeamViewer's response initially was canned quotes and lots of BS. Ultimately, they "appeased" us by allowing our "perpetual" licenses to continue until 10 years from purchase date, at which time it will stop working. That is NOT the definition of "perpetual." Now, TeamViewer is trying to offer me 50% off the regular subscription price "for life", but at this point I no longer trust TeamViewer as a company and will be looking for a replacement product once my "perpetual" license stops working.

Hello Avi, Thank you for taking the valuable time to review TeamViewer! We are sorry that TeamViewer has not lived up to the expectations for you! About the decision on Sunsetting certain TeamViewer perpetual license options, TeamViewer has published the announcement on TeamViewer Community - https://community.teamviewer.com/English/discussion/109492/complimentary-teamviewer-15-access-for-legacy-versions-to-be-deprecated. At the same time, we strongly encourage you to communicate with TeamViewer Support Team - https://www.teamviewer.com/en/customer-support/ for the complimentary offer options on your TeamViewer license. Once again, we can’t thank you enough for choosing the remote access journey with TeamViewer! If there is anything we may help with further, feel free to find us on TeamViewer Community (https://community.teamviewer.com/). We wish you a great day! Best, Ying/TeamViewer

Amazing... even now you just reply with the same exact patronizing canned responses. SMH.

Succinct and accurate. The crazy thing is, they are trying to offer me 50% off the subscription price "for life", which sounds suspiciously like another way of saying "perpetually"... but I've already learned that Teamviewer obviously defines "perpetual" as "until we change our mind". Bottom line... Teamviewer cannot be trusted to stand behind their own promises.
