Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer
I use TeamViewer to remotely access computers throughout my organization. Oftentimes, the computers we use within my organization are not located in the same spaces as the equipment they control and manage. These computers are often stored in rack rooms without a view of the devices. By using TeamViewer to remotely access these computers, I can get instant feedback from the devices while managing them.
Pros
- Speed
- Easy installation.
- Multiple windows.
Cons
- Storing passwords for connections.
- Mobile TeamViewer connection interface.
- Multiple connections on one device.
- Improving business processes.
- Not having to travel between locations as often.
- Less human labor (not having to monitor a computer).
The economic benefits from using TeamViewer were apparent and instantaneous. We no longer have to travel between locations to access computers; a task that may have taken hours previously can now be completed in minutes.
Chrome Remote Desktop was an okay application for remote access to devices. It is free software that performs the necessary task of remote access to a computer, although TeamViewer offers many more useful features. Despite Chrome Remote Desktop being free and my organization paying for TeamViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop just did not compare to TeamViewer's features and security options.
