Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

The implementation of TeamViewer was seamless and very easy for my organization. There were no difficulties installing the application on any of our devices, and we were able to mass-install it, making it very easy for our Information Technology team. Once the necessary TeamViewer application was installed on the devices and configured, we were able to access them immediately and begin using the product.
I use TeamViewer to remotely access computers throughout my organization. Oftentimes, the computers we use within my organization are not located in the same spaces as the equipment they control and manage. These computers are often stored in rack rooms without a view of the devices. By using TeamViewer to remotely access these computers, I can get instant feedback from the devices while managing them.

Pros

  • Speed
  • Easy installation.
  • Multiple windows.

Cons

  • Storing passwords for connections.
  • Mobile TeamViewer connection interface.
  • Multiple connections on one device.
  • Improving business processes.
  • Not having to travel between locations as often.
  • Less human labor (not having to monitor a computer).
The economic benefits from using TeamViewer were apparent and instantaneous. We no longer have to travel between locations to access computers; a task that may have taken hours previously can now be completed in minutes.
Chrome Remote Desktop was an okay application for remote access to devices. It is free software that performs the necessary task of remote access to a computer, although TeamViewer offers many more useful features. Despite Chrome Remote Desktop being free and my organization paying for TeamViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop just did not compare to TeamViewer's features and security options.

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

Yes

TeamViewer is best suited for when you are working on a computer and need to access another computer to access an application or transfer files. If you are not already working on a computer and are using a mobile device such as a phone or tablet, TeamViewer is not the best option, as the mobile interface is not as intuitive as the desktop version.
