Overall Satisfaction with TeamViewer

It's very hard to say, as I wasn't involved in the implementation of TeamViewer. I can't imagine it went too badly, though, since it's pretty straightforward for remote support.
We utilize(d) it to support our field personnel when they have issues with their Android tablets. There aren't too many systems that work with mobile devices, but TeamViewer has the QuickSupport app on Android and possibly on iOS, though we don't use iOS devices. It served us well for quite a long time up until fairly recently.

Pros

  • Simple connection instructions.
  • Speed of connection is done well.
  • User interface is done fairly well for those users that aren't too technical.

Cons

  • App compatibility issues.
  • Being concise on license requirements vs what you can use for free or evaluation.
  • The website in general is very convoluted on where to find the information required.
  • Multiple locations to support.
  • Many field personnel out in odd areas that may need support.
  • Would be cost/time prohibitive for IT Support to travel.
The economy was fairly quick since no travel was cut right away.
For mobile, TeamViewer was much better, especially since some of them don't support mobile devices at all. Performance seems to be generally better than AnyDesk and on par with ScreenConnect in both performance and the feature set. One system not in the list above is RustDesk. We evaluated that, and, given its ability to self-host and provide full control, we have since gone to RustDesk for just about everything. We do still use ScreenConnect for some of our server interactions when RDP isn't available, but for the most part, RustDesk is our go-to service now.

Do you think TeamViewer delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with TeamViewer's feature set?

Yes

Did TeamViewer live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TeamViewer go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TeamViewer again?

No

TeamViewer, at its core, has a substantive purpose that it does well. It is fast with little to no lag. It is fairly easy for non-technical users to understand what they are supposed to do, no matter which end of the support call they are on. Again, what it does badly is the confusing app versions and the convoluted information, seemingly placed sporadically throughout the website.
